What Happened

Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL), the wholly-owned defence subsidiary of Bharat Forge Limited, and South Africa's Paramount Group jointly unveiled the Simha 4×4 - a next-generation Light Armoured Multi-Purpose Vehicle - at Eurosatory 2026 in Paris, France on 16 June 2026.

Vehicle Design and Capabilities

The vehicle is an ab initio (from-scratch) design targeting armed forces in India, Africa, and South Asia, combining power, agility, and protection for urban warfare and reconnaissance missions. This indigenous development represents India's growing defense manufacturing capabilities and commitment to self-reliance in military equipment.
